RacingDiffs “All Solutions” Limited Slip Differential Specifications

Manufactured by RacingDiffs, this clutch-type limited slip differential for BMW is one of the highest performing on the market. Extremely versatile as suggested by its name “All Solutions”, it is suitable for all types of motorsports, such as drifting, rallying, hill climbing, circuit, time attack… It is also perfectly compatible with a street use.

The differential is fully adjustable: it offers the choice of the number of active clutches, initial preload and ramp angles. The lock is easily adjustable from 25% to 100%, both on 1.5 or 2 ways. To do this, you can change the clutches/discs order for example from A-B-A-B… to A-A-B-B… in order to increase or decrease the lock percentage. You can also change the angle of the ramp by simply rotating the cross-pins to a different position, in order to modify the lock progressivity of the differential (“dry” or progressive locking, see video below).

Thanks to the almost infinite variations and combinations possibilities of this differential, you can modify the handling of your vehicle very precisely so that it perfectly meets your needs. It offers a true “all-in-one” solution and allows you to switch from one configuration to another (drift to rally for example) without having to replace the unit. Proven in competition, this differential benefits from an excellent manufacturing quality and has been designed to withstand the most extreme conditions of use.

Here are some examples of set-ups for specific applications:

• Drift : 2 way (30°/30° ramp angle) – maximal number of active clutches
• Rally (gravel) : 1.5 way (30°/60° ramp angle) – maximal number of active clutches
• Circuit (grip driving) : 1.5 way (50°/65° ramp angle) – maximal number of active clutches
• Street driving : 1.5 way (50°/65° ramp angle) – number of active clutches may vary (check diagram on the last picture)
